Kali de Mano and The Kali Society participates in Teater Hallands Youth Cultural Festival - Hållplats 2011. KdM will give workshops in defence and Martial Arts for youth. It is an ambition of The Kali Society to contribute to these kinds of social community events.

The FMA-style Kali de Mano was launched at The Kali Society Summer Special. It was time for us to show our expression of the arts says founders Hans and Claes Johansson. After many years studies of specifically the Filipino Martial Arts och martial arts in general the two brothers Hans and Claes Johansson introduces their own style of the arts.

2010-12-10   NEW BLACK BELTS!

In December 2010 Mr Peter Olow and Mr Filip Olow graded for blackbelt Lakan Isa in The Kali Society training programme. The grading consist of physical application, technical knowledge and understading of the Arts.

We congratulate our two new Blackbelts thay have both been working very hard for this!

2011-07-16   THE KALI SOCIETY / KALI DE MANO VISITING IKAEF

The Kali Society is represented at the IKAEF Summer Camp by Pangulong Guro Claes Johansson. This camp is a way for us to meet likeminded and skilled martial arts instructors from different styles - says Claes. We look forward to meet some new people and reconnect with some old friends as well. Camp is arranged by Jeff Espinous (Kali Sikaran) and the line up includes names as Krishna Godhania (Warrior Eskrima), Joko Suseno (Pencak Silat Concepts), Felix Cortes (Filipino Combatives), Felix Valencia (Valencia Eskrima), Charles Gossens (Cinco Tero Eskrima) Joakim Engberg (Pro MMA Fighter) and Claes Johansson (Kali de Mano)

2011   SOUTH EAST ASIA  - WITH A TRAINING BAG...and sunscreen...

Members of Kali Gothenburg set out to experience training Asian style. They ended up at first class hotels, in the jungle, at the beach, in the pool, in the monkey forrest. Meeting new friends from all over the world, training with hardcore fighters, olympic champions... in sunrise and in sunsets...here is the story...

a master... and a friend.... ! In 2010 Great Grandmaster Ernesto A Presas passed away. He was a source of inspiration and knowledge within FMA, in Modern Arnis, later known as his Kombatan. Great Grandmaster Presas was a man with many skills - extraordinary techniques, great teaching abilities, toughness mixed with warmth and humour...
